Niki is editor-in-chief of Healthy Food Guide, Hearld on Sunday columnist and regular commentator for TV and radio. Open Mic Night is an opportunity for members to air and share their thoughts about ideas, hot topics and burning issues that affect those of us in the food community. We're hoping to spark some interesting and useful debate and discussion. To kick us off, Lauraine Jacobs will be talking about copyright, attribution and ensuring that recipes are rightfully respected. Lauraine will share tips on just how your work can be protected and how to respect the work of others. Helen Jackson has a questions for us. "Has anyone else noticed the increase of PR drops of product over the last year? While these are very rarely newsworthy and more brand promotion, it seems there is a push for us to mention these through our social media avenues. But isn't that just providing free advertising and creating a chain reaction of diminished revenue? What are your thoughts on this?" Drinks will be provided along with a snack box from Eat My Lunch.
